Monday marked National Women Physicians Day, but we believe every day is a great day to celebrate the incredible women in medicine at Ortho Montana!
Today, we’re especially proud to spotlight our amazing female physicians, Dr. Hansen and Dr. Lybrand & Dr. Hart. Their dedication, skill, and compassion not only profoundly impact our community but also set a powerful example for future generations of healthcare professionals.
As the days grow longer here in Montana, we’re reminded of the rejuvenating power of more sunlight and longer afternoons.
Longer days mean more opportunities to stay active and keep moving, which is great for our orthopedic health. Whether it’s a walk in the evening glow or a weekend hike, let’s make the most of the extra daylight to enhance our well-being.
Here’s to brighter days and better health ahead!
Feeling the chill in your joints, not just the air?
Cold weather can often intensify joint pain, a real phenomenon many can feel but often misunderstand. It’s not your bones but your joints that react to the drop in temperature. Here are some quick tips to keep your joints happy and pain-free this winter!
Through Jeans Day for Charity, the incredible staff at Ortho Montana raised $1,400, which was proudly donated to three deserving non-profits in Billings in the name of our physician partners. 🎁💙
This annual tradition is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to our amazing physicians during the holiday season. We’re grateful for our team’s generosity and commitment to giving back to our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
After 27 incredible years, Susan Bohl is retiring. Leading our payables department and much more, Susan has been the epitome of reliability and dedication. Always dependable, she has been a cornerstone of our team.
Susan, you will be greatly missed! Wishing you all the best in your well-deserved retirement.
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Dr. Richard Lewallen, who left us on Thanksgiving Day.
Dr. Lewallen dedicated over three decades of his life to Ortho Montana, providing compassionate and expert care to countless patients across Montana and Wyoming. Known for his special affinity for pediatric care, he touched the lives of many with his kindness and dedication.
Dr. Lewallen retired in 2017, leaving behind a legacy of healing and heart. We will miss him more than words can express. Today, we honor his memory and the indelible impact he made.
Our thoughts are with his family during this time.
The All American Indian Shootout is happening this weekend, swing by for some exciting basketball!

This place is great, had a hip replacement, Dr. Groover is extremely knowledgeable and will keep you in constant update. His staff is super nice. My hip is doing good, he told me in the beginning that he could make me a new man. I'm a new man now, can walk, no pain, no crutches, everything is perfect. His assistants filled out all of my short-term disability to get it started as soon as we had a start date and an end date. This is the place to go, the doctor to see, and the nurses you want :)
