Thomas M. Spears, DO

Education

(Starting August 17th)

Dr. Spears received his medical degree from A. T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He then completed a five-year orthopedic surgery internship and residency at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA.
After completing his residency, Dr. Spears practiced orthopedic surgery across three continents while serving as a U.S. Navy orthopedic surgeon.
Then he completed a year-long fellowship program in sports medicine surgery at Vanderbilt and finally he went on to finish his military service with the second medical battalion in Camp Lejeune, NC.
Dr. Spears will focus on orthopedic sports medicine at our Billings office.

Dr. Spears specializes in the comprehensive treatment of shoulder, hip, and knee injuries and conditions. His practice includes minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, advanced cartilage restoration, joint preservation and stabilization procedures, and complex ligament reconstruction. He also provides expert care for athletes of all ages and activity levels—from competitive student-athletes to recreational and weekend athletes—helping patients return to the activities they enjoy with confidence.
