Kailey Lewis-Smith, OTD

Hand and Upper Extremity

Kailey grew up in Billings, MT, and graduated from Billings West High School. Kailey attended BYU-Idaho where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management with an Emphasis in Therapy.  She then went on to receive a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Mary.  Kailey will earn an Advanced Practice Certificate in Hand and Upper Limb Rehabilitation from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA in December 2023.

Before entering occupational therapy school, Kailey knew she wanted to treat patients with hand and upper extremities injuries. This was due to completing observation hours in Salt Lake City, UT at a hand therapy clinic with a phenomenal hand therapist. Now she enjoys working with patients of all ages to help patients decrease pain, increase functional use of their injured arm in daily tasks, and fabricate custom splints.

Outside of work, Kailey enjoys time with her husband, two kids, extended family, and two dogs. She enjoys hiking, camping, cycling, yoga, Pilates, cross-country skiing, cooking, video games, and rock climbing.
